The Rahway Chamber of Commerce serves the people and businesses of Rahway, NJ by allowing its members opportunities to develop, promote and pursue their business interests. The Chamber fosters a healthy economic environment and promotes the benefits of Rahway businesses to the residents of Rahway, the surrounding communities, the State of New Jersey, and the public at large.

To sponsor member relevant committees for personal, professional, business and community growth and to provide networking opportunities for the Rahway business community.
To provide and support economic development activities that aid in the retention and expansion of Rahway businesses and to attract new businesses to the city.
To build leadership, stewardship and volunteerism in the business community.

Why Rahway

Q. Is Rahway a good place to open a business?
A. Rahway is a fantastic place to open a business. Over 25,000 people live here. That's 25,000 potential customers, many of whom are property owners needing goods and services. Real estate values are very reasonable compared to surrounding communities, making overhead more manageable. Over the last 15 years there has been a substantial amount of investment in city infrastructure including municipal buildings such as town hall, the public library, the recreation center and the train station. Becasuse of these investments, developers have constructed condos and apartment complexes which now house thousands of new residents, many of whom work in NYC and bring their metropolitan wages back to Rahway. The restoration of the Union County Performing Arts Center and the creation of the Arts District has transformed Rahway from a sleepy bedroom community to a vibrant and exciting destination. In the last few years several new restaurants have opened, bringing people in from surrounding communities. Residents and non residents alike look forward to our annual events including The Taste of Rahway, Hotrods and Harleys and the Tree Lighting Ceremony. These festive celebrations bring the community together and are tons of fun!
Q. Is Rahway a convenient place to live?
A. Rahway is a very convenient place to live. The train station serves as a hub for
both the Northeast Corridor line and the NJ Shore line, which cross here. So whether you work in NYC or Red Bank, Rahway can get you there quickly. In addition Rahway is 15 minutes to Newark International Airport and it is also strategically located between the Garden State Parkway, the NJ Turnpike and Route 1.
